I love this earthy or clay flavour in my dal so for those who love the Indian traditional earthy / clay flavour in dal, here is how to do it 🙂
- Put 1 tsp Ghee in small clay lamp.
- Put it on flame.
- When ghee is hot, crackle cumin(1 tsp).
- Turn off flame.
- Add Asafoetida (¼ tsp)
- Immediately put this clay lamp into your dal/dish and cover it with lid.
- Keep it covered for 5 minute for earthy or clay flavor to get infused with dal/dish.
- Its done!!
